Why you should work with me!

I am an efficient worker, have confidence in my skills, years of experience and I want to work with you! However, I know virtually working with someone can be daunting so I’m hoping this post will make you feel more confident to hire me!

Why work with a virtual assistant?

The easiest answer to this is the cost savings. As a VA is not a direct employee, the only costs you need to consider are all nicely outlined in a contract. You are in control of what you spend on the support you want and the VA worries about everything else!

For the majority of VA’s, and certainly in my case, being a VA is their sole income and business. The support they provide you is their only focus, and they want to do a great job so you keep them on! Having the reassurance and confidence that when you delegate a task to your VA, they will complete it to your satisfaction or beyond. This allows you to hyper focus on your business strategy and development, even maybe leaning on your VA behind the scenes to keep track of and help guide your thoughts on different strategies to consider which would be the most successful.

Naturally, delegating work, particularly those time-consuming tasks that keep you in the office, means you can finish work on time and go home for me time, family time, whatever time you want as it’s yours once again. An additional benefit to having your own time back to relax is reducing that stress level. The quote “work to live, not live to work” resonates with me as I did get to a point in my previous role where I was taking the stress home with me - working late hours, struggled to switch off and I was working, eating, sleeping and repeating that cycle over and over again. I am an advocate for enjoying life, spending time with loved ones and having that hour in the evening to yourself to do what you want. My favourite evening this week was when my daughter had gone to bed, and my partner and I built an orca out of Lego with some tunes on in the background. Granted it took more like 2.5 hours than the 1 hour I had planned before going to bed myself, but the quality time together is priceless and brings a sense of peace you can’t get by doing anything else. Now why me?

I’ve been completing administration tasks for over 10 years, starting with data entry and ending with managing a business. I advertise my specialism as Charity Governance as this was the aspect I most enjoyed and am qualified in. My role was very varied and included supporting both the Chief Executive and Director of Finance so I found myself gaining skills with insurance investigations, contracts, Board/Sub-Committee meetings, working with the Senior Management Team, setting up Staff days linked to the brand, Data Protection, audits and so much more.

I had to be versatile to support everyone in Head Office to make it run smoothly. Regular meetings with those I worked closely with were important so we could understand progress made, what next steps were and the vision we wanted to achieve.
